Oakdales' Guest Cottage originally was used as a cook house for the main house. In 1988 our family remodeled the building and it has been converted to a guest home ever since. The Cottage has a king size bed, kitchenette, bathroom, sitting area, and kitchen table on the first floor, and a queen and twin bed in the loft. In 1981 Dave and I moved to Floyd to join our friends who were artists already living here. Much of our home and the cottage is adorned with pottery and artwork from this original group. WiFi and cable TV. Cell phone service is spotty but best with Verizon. Our property is located one mile off the Blue Ridge Parkway and 11 miles from the town of Floyd. Hiking is out the front door and we have a secluded swimming pond in the woods with beach and dock. The town of Floyd is very fun with the Friday Night Jamboree and weekly event. Floyd boasts great restaurants, tapas bar, wood fired pizza pub, and local restaurants, cafe, bakery, and health food store which offers something for everyone. This is a culturally rich county with full of artists and musicians.

Cozy log cabin, our cabin is close to the Blue Ridge Parkway for a great relaxing drive. We are located in Meadows of Dan where there is a small shops, country store with home made food, fruit, and souvenirs. We are our only about 2.5 miles from Mabry Mill on the Parkway, they have a great restaurant (not open during the winter months). We are 12 miles from Floyd were they hold Floyd Fest in July. On Labor day weekend come walk one of the largest flea markets. We are 5 miles near the Chateau Morrisette Winery where you can go tour the winery, do some taste testing and have dinner. Close to hiking trails along the parkway. We are pet friendly with small non refundable deposit.

Want to get away from the world? Our Touche' Too Cabin is just the place! Nestled just off the Blue Ridge Parkway in Meadows of Dan, the Touche' Too is a lovely cabin with all the amenities of home. The name Touche' Too was the owner's silly name for the Tool Shed. Originally, there was only a little tool shed that was converted into a cabin. That cabin, while still there, is mainly used by the owners. The Touche' Too was the second cabin built on the property. Come check it out! More than 60 acres for you to roam and hike. Bring your pet as well. We have have a gate on the deck so they can stay there should you step out for a bit. There is no air conditioning at the cabin, but the breeze is wonderful. It's located in the trees on top of a mountain, so the heat is never too hot. We don't have WiFi, but Verizon service is excellent. We do have a landline so you can share that with friends and family to communicate. And lastly, you'll need to bring your own wood if you want to build a fire in the fireplace.

Porch n' Pasture Farm is a delightfully decorated new construction.  The original home, damaged by a chimney fire, has been rebuilt with guests in mind.  The decor is farm and country and the wrap around porch is divine.  With spectacular views, a pond to fish and plenty of places to roam, this is the perfect location for your getaway.  With beds to accommodate up to 14, you will want to bring the whole family and a few friends. Chateau Morrisette is just around the corner.  Floyd is approximately 20 minutes away and Hillsville is around 30 minutes away.  Closest grocery store is a country store in Meadows of Dan.  Be sure to try Jane's Cafe in Meadows of Dan for good food at good prices.  A little finer dining can be found in Floyd.

Meadows of Dan, Floyd, Mabry Mill and the Blue Ridge Parkway are all close by for hiking, listening to bluegrass music, playing golf, wineries, shopping and great mountain views.
